PATNA: Governor Buta Singh on Wednesday released the first lot of results of the matriculation examination conducted this year by the Bihar School Examination Board. The results were released as per the schedule here at the Old Secretariat conference hall. On Wednesday, the board announced the matriculation results of Patna division including Patna, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Buxar and Bhabhua districts. According to board chairman R B P Yadav, the matriculation results of all the divisions in the state are going to be released by May 31. He said the time schedule for publication of the matriculation results has been maintained to enable the students passing the examination to take admission anywhere in the country on time. The matriculation results are available also on the board website bsebpatna.com and on Reliance India Mobile's R-World. To know the results on R-World one should first write "get result"and then the roll code and roll number of the 2005 matriculation examination, he added. The matriculation results of Bhagalpur division will be out on May 26. The results of Darbhanga and Kosi divisions are likely to be published on May 27. This year (2005) the matriculation results of Patna district are poor. Out of the 48,090 candidates appearing at the examination this year from the district, only 57.856 per cent of them passed. The pass percentage of the district was 63.064 in 2004 and 69.05 in 2003. There has been a slight improvement in the results of Bhojpur district in which the pass percentage this year is 62.03 as compared to 61.746 in 2004 and 59.472 in 2003. The pass percentage of 69.741 recorded this year in Rohtas district is better than that of other districts in Patna division. But the pass percentage of Rohtas district was 72.652 in 2004. The pass percentage this year is 58.523 in Buxar district and 43.478 in Bhabhua district, which is lower than that recorded by the two districts in the past two years. |
